Haemangioma? |
i had a haemangioma IN my finger with blue and red vein like marks. i fell pregnant in 2000 and had a termination (6 weeks) for other reasons, during the pregnancy the finger developed solid tumors and i had the finger amputated a week after the termination, i have had no problems since. last october i found out i was pregnant the baby had downs and 'other' abnormalitys and had to be terminated at 14 weeks after chromozone tests. 2 weeks ago i found a large lump which has since been scanned and confirmed as a tumor, on the same hand as the haemangioma. To The Mom, i had a look at the site you gave me, it had some interesting info and it spurred me onto looking up another catagory and i found this site I can't give you a straight answer, but I do know that some tumors do respond to the female hormones by growing larger. So it's not unbelievable that you notice a connection between yours and your pregnancies. I think the best person to address this question would be an oncologist, who would have a lot more experience with this sort of thing. But you might check out this site The LH surge during pregnancy has been known to cause an increase in tumor growth. It sounds as though you have some sort of genetic disease, and if I were you I would consider adoption, if passing a disease onto your child worries you. I hope you find good health soon! |
