Did I have a miscarriage?

A few months ago out of nowhere I started bleeding and cramping really bad. I am on B/C pills because of my painful periods. I did not miss taking any and my husband and I ALWAYS use condoms to be extra careful. But anyways, the bleeding and the cramps were pretty bad butI didn't go to the Doc because I just thought I was being a baby. Then one day I went to the restroom and after I peed I looked in the toilet before I flushed and saw a weird thing. It almost looked like fetus. It has a tiny red and pink cord that led to a bumpy mass with two blue dots that looked as if they could be eyes forming. I just stood there and stared at it, terrified. After I while all I could think of to do was flush. My heart sank. I couldn't even tell my husband until a while later.

At the time I didn't know that if you think you had a miscarriage you were suppose to take what you found straight to your Doc. I continued to have problems later on down the line. A few months later I had terrible pains on both sides (ovaries) and lower back. I have also been very emotional. High blood pressure, cold sweats, leg pain, and a low fever. I went to my Doc and she told me that I just had an infection. I didn't tell her about the possible miscarriage because I was afraid I sounded crazy. She gave me some antibiotics and sent me on my way. Well I've taken all of the meds and still having trouble. Does it sound like I've had a miscarriage and developed PID? Because if it is PID that is the only way I could have gotten it. My husband and I have only been with each other and we are literally together all of the time so there is NO WAY that he could've cheated and given me an STD. And I have never had a baby so it's not from after-birth. Do I sound crazy,or did I really miscarry

It very well could have been, the symptoms are the same as you described. Go see your doctor, he will be able to tell you if it was a miscarriage.

You might need medical care... and it is important to know if you have had one in the past for when you are TTC, because it will put your next pregnancy at high risk, which means you will see the doctor more often.

Going in now might save your next baby's life.

Oh dear. It sure sounds like it. I'm sorry :(

Edited to add: Don't worry. You don't sound crazy at all, it's an emotional situation. And any good doctor would think the same thing, it's their job!
