I have a 6 year old son who has turned gray and blue no answers as to why can you help?

My son has turned color's his body temp seems to drop to.
He gets real pale and starts to change colors but his vitals seem to be normal. He had tests done today he had xrays of his heart and an ekg. (waiting for results) He has done this 4 or 5 times and its months in between episodes. It goes away within 15-20 minutes and then he's fine. Im really worried have you or anyone you know ever done this? This is my baby and i feel helpless please help if you can. Thanks.

his blood sugar was normal and they want to test him for seizures. it was in school so i know he was warm enough. thank you everyone for your answers so far.

Well,I'm not a dr. or anything, but it seems like he isnt getting enough oxygen through his body. If they didn't send you home with a portable heart monitor, I'd be very concerned and keep a very close eye on him, especially at night.

Get as many opinions as you can - check with pulmanary Drs., heart specialists, blood drs, allergists, anyone you can find.

Remeber to do a lot of research - start at web md and get a solid understanding of the basics of circulation and the control factors of oxygen delivery and temperature regulation. This way when the drs. are explaining things to you, you'll have a general idea what they're talking about. I'll be praying for you - Good luck with everything.

Well, I am not a doctor but I would say this is a circulation issue. Nonetheless, I want to wish you and your son the best.

My son used to turn blue whenever he was extremely cold; usually after swimming. But, once he warmed up his skin color returned to normal. Cyanosis is a bluish discoloration of the skin or mucous membranes caused by lack of oxygen in the blood. I understand the anxiety you must feel waiting for the test results. You may wish to reference the website below in the meantime.

I sincerely hope everything is okay with your baby.

Have you checked his blood sugar to see if maybe it's low?
I'd start there.
My daughter was gray and lethargic when she was first diagnosed with hypoglycemia, and her sugar was well below 20.
It came on like an unsuspected hurricane. Luckily, I knew what to do and recognized the signs from nursing experience.
An EKG sounds like what he needs to have done in your case.
I will pray.

My first thought would be a blood O2 level or a circulation problem. Good luck.
