Does anyone know of a drug and alcohol treatment method other than one that uses 12-step recovery as it's bse?

I am looking to get help for someone who has been using hard drugs for thirty years. He has already been through the twelve step thing so many times without any long term success, any alternative?

Rational Recovery, Secular Sobriety...... I'm sure there are more.

Well, it is really simple my friend, before you get too deep into it, you really need to find out if the person REALLY want to stop. If someone doesn't want to stop, no program in the world in going to help them. If the person is serious about making a permanent change in their life, perhaps the best program for them would be checking themselves into a really good rehab clinic
