What happened to avian influenza?


was all just news hype or was it really a threat?

i realize that avian influenza is actually out there. but im thinking that the media made it a bigger threat than it really was.

if we havnt heard about it for months, is it still the same threat, should we still be worried?

Obviously you are not from India. Avaian flu is very much alive and kicking here in India (Bengal), spread to Bangladesh and we in S. India are afraid it might strike here once again. Millions of hens and cocks have been culled but we are afraid it might spread elsewhere too. This is not hype.
