Could the Avian & Pandemic Influenza hit the U.S? |
North American Plan For Avian & Pandemic Influenza H5N1 virus Yes, another pandemic is eminent. It may or may not be the result of a mutation in the H5N1 virus that everyone is closely tracking. H5N1 has already been shown to be transmitted from human-to-human in some families. It has not yet mutated sufficiently to be easily transmitted from human-to-human. It is a matter of time It's a possibility, but I wouldn't be too worried about them--the Big Changes are upon us and could happen any day now. it could happen but i don't think it's extremly likely. they've already developed a test vaccine for it anyways. i think it's as likely as a break out of the bubonic plague or a zombie plague and i'm not being sarcastic. i think it was more of a threat at first because it wasn't widely uderstood yet or controlled. i personally am not going to worry about it. i'm a little more afraid of bombs right now. |
