Where can I find info about the 1918 Influenza pandemic and the bird (avian) flu? |
I'm having difficulty finding info on the 1918 Influenza pandemic that occured shortly before the end of World War I. Please help, thanks. Go on-line to the Smithsonian Magazine Archives. They did an excellent article on the 'Spanish Lady' some time ago. Lots of annotations and other resources. I think it was caused by the H1N1 strain of Influenza A. go to wikipedia...its there i looked I would check the CDC and USDA websites and the dept of public health. They have a lot of info on the current asian strain H5N1 and probably in the introduction to the article they will talk about past outbreaks, look on the sources for each article to provide more specific sources. |
