I was told I have avascular necrosis back in 1995? |
I was told that I had avascular necrosis in 1995, from steroids that I had to take for my asthma, this was diagnosed after an MRI. Now I had a bone scan done and this doctor says I dont have it. is it possible or should I ask for another MRI? I have had some of the best doctors like the doctor for the philly flyers, tell me I have it and even operated on one of my knees. A doctors opinion on this would be real helpful but of course not necessary. Hard for me to answer from your descriprion. Avascular necrosis means that a bit of tissue has died because it wasn't receiving enough blood (and oxygen). This tissue could have been reabsorbed or removed by your surgery. The best doctor to ask is one who has seen you and your tests. Ask them to explain what it was that you were supposed to have had and where it has gone. |
