Has anyone else had a core decompression for avascular necrosis that failed?

I recently was diagnosed with bilateral AVN. My Dr. performed a core decompression on one side within 3 days of diagnosis. It has now been 3 months on crutches and physical therapy and the pain is getting worse. It hurts more than the pain pre-surgery. I'm afraid that the procedure failed and I need a total hip replacement. I'm in my mid 30's and frustrated with the pain and inconvenience. Has anyone else experienced this as well?

Always get a second opinion, I went to the hospital with severe leg and hip pain , about an hour before they decided to do hip replacement surgery(they was prepping me even) when another dr came in and asked if they had done an ultrasound and they had not, so when they did they realized i didnt have a diseased hip at all. But I did have severe blod clots all down my leg. So know the facts google it go to different health room chats. I figure after 5 drs looked at it surely one would have figured it out but I guess they needed 6. Best of luck!
