The doctors cant figure out what is wrong with me, I am sick of the tests and not knowing what is going on...?

I have had every test in the book, now they want me to have a MRI and Cat Scan. The docs dont know what is going on w/ me. I was first diagnosed with Nash hepatitus, then they said I had a diseased gallbladder and removed it, I am still very sick, w/ nausea and vomiting. I have a whole list of symptoms. The doc said maybe it was Cyclic vomiting syndrome. And he said that all of these things are probably all separate illnesses. Should I see another doctor, b/c to me it seems like maybe I have an autoimmune disease, but he did test for autoimmune diseases and disorders. I am so frustrated. I have had biopsies, blood tests, an egd, biliary scans, gastric radioactive scans, ultrasounds, and now he wants to order an MRI, cat scan, and small bowel follow through test. I dont know what to do. I didnt have any of these problems till right after I had my twin girls. Can anyone relate to my problems? Any advice?

I would go to a different doctor immediately! While I cannot say what you have, I certainly think your doctor is not aggressively looking in to what ails you. Many autoimmune diseases have no "test" do detect their existence - sometimes the only way to diagnose you is to rule-out everything else. It can take time in many cases, but their should be treatments to help you live comfortably why they investigate your illness. Go see a Rheumatologist and an Infectious Disease Specialist to get their opinions. Sometimes the best way to get well is to take an active role in your treatment. I wish you the best of luck!

Go to a different doctor. Some of them are mad. I wish you the best.

Yes. My gut feeling is to leave that environment and go to another team of doctors. Have your medical records forwarded to the new doctors.

Oh honey, im so sorry. I have severe dysautonomia (disfunction of the autonomic nervous system) and it made me very sick for 15 years before they diagnosed me. It seemed like they ran every test known to man, so i know what youre going through and i know how unbelievably frustrating this is for you!!! Hang in there, theyll find whats wrong eventually! Im sorry I dont have any better advice for you but i deeply sympathize with your situation!!

That seriously sucks, it must be very awful.

1. So far it sounds like your doctor has been ok, but on your journey you might find doctors who try to cover up their own ineptitude by acting like your symptoms don't exist or they aren't that serious. Ignore them and remember that YOU know how YOU should be feeling, you know when something is wrong.

2. Keep a detailed journal of WHAT symptoms show up and WHEN. You may have a symptom that you aren't associating with the main problem. It may seem insignificant and irrelevant, but maybe it might tie everything together. Also note things like what you ate, you might find correlations there.

Good Luck and I hope you get well!

I think I would try another dr. and see if they could find out what is wrong with you. Maybe you should try a internest(not sure of spelling), this dr. is more specialistized on what goes on the inside.of our bodies. I hope that you can find out what is wrong. Its really awful when you are sick and they cant find out what is wrong. Good luck.
