I noticed the ad on Yahoo's front page for a medication to treat Crohn's...it is an autoimmune disease and it seems these kinds of diseases are more common now...any theories on why this would be so?
http://www.medicinenet.com/crohns_diseas... Im not sure why, but I have two friends that suffer from this disease - horribly. One friend, 27, just had to have her colon permanently removed. This was after years and years of surgeries and basically giving in. She will have to wear a colostomy bag for the rest of her life. My other girlfriend has chrones, but in her case, its more like severe IBS. I feel so sorry for both of them. I have had Crohn's since I was 16. I'm 31 now. I lost my colon two years ago and now have an ileostomy. |
