Can someone tell me what wheatgrass is exactly?

My friend told me to drink it for my Lupus. What types of things does it supposedly do for you? Another friend of mine says it made him really sick. So, is this stuff safe to try and does it help autoimmune diseases like Lupus?

Thanks!! ;)

Not exactly.

However, it is something like wheat and something like grass.

Hope that helps.

Wheatgrass has chlorophyll in it which is a great healer for the body. It has a ton of nutrients in it, it's good for skin, blood, bowels, you name it. It is a super detoxifier, which is why your friend probably got sick. When you first try it, you need to start with just a little, 1 ounce or so. The first time I tried it I got a Huge headache, because it stirred up all the toxins I had in my body. I have read about peoples lupus symptoms disappearing. You would have to take it on a daily basis, work up to maybe 2 oz. a day. I bet after a few weeks you will see the difference .

Wheatgrass contains agropyrene, apigenin, and chlorophyll. It also contains flavonoids, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, iron, calcium, magnesium, and amino acids. Wheatgrass has demonstrated antibiotic, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects. It is primarily used for its high concentration of nutrients. Of course yes.

There are many reasons people may take wheat grass. It is high in chlorophyll and natural potassium and it helps neutralize and remove toxins. It is a blood purifier and cleanser and is rich in vitamins, minerals & enzymes. This may help some more..............

wheat grass can help purify the blood. If you have lupus though you may want to look at essiac tea which is used in many cancer treatments (not by alopathic doctors though) and cleanses several of the bodies systems.
