I just had my thymus removed...? |
It was really big and caused me to have chest pain and shortness of breathe. The doctor sent it to be biopsy'd and it came back benign. Now that I have had it removed am I gonna get some other disease? Is it a case of autoimmune disease now? My doctor informed me that it was thymoma but not cancerous No, removal of the thymus will not trigger auto-immune diseases. It usually has little effect on the immune system when performed later than childhood. |
