What is autism, and how do u know if u got it or not? |
a doctor told me last week that when i was a kid, i was diagnosed w autism, and i told him 'yea, but when i was 15, my shrink told me dat it sound more like bipolar to her, so she diagnosed me w bipolar'...i looked up autism n da different kinds. it say they got more than one type of autism, and the minor one affects social skills or somethin. i know when i was a kid, i developed slower than most, n it took a while before i started makin friends. but da area i grew up in, all da kids mah age was mentally normal...n da kids i got along w da most was da ones who were bipolar/psychotic or whateva. i dont think i got it, cuz i was readin about it and it said autism ppl dont party much n would rather spend time reading books or bein alone. well i party almost everynite, n i dont really gotta certain interest different from mah friends. except da fact im kinda political...but u gotta be at times. im jus kinda tense now cuz i dnt know if im bipolar now, or got autism. wut do yall think? It sound more to me like ya got da ignorance. Sounds like a bad case of West Nile to me, Maybe even Bird Flu. I heard of people with your case, they say if you hold the Shift key, you will even get CAP letters and stuff Autism is a brain disorder that begins in early childhood and persists throughout adulthood and affects three crucial areas of development - communication, social interaction, and creative or imaginative play. The criteria for the diagnosis of autism are set out in the international classification of diseases, 10th revision. See bipolar disorder, at http://www.ezy-build.net. (.net.nz/~shaneris) on page 10, and take the tests, but you wouldn't have been diagnosed with it, if you didn't have extreme moodswings, which you omitted to mention, here. The partying is indicative of bipolar disorder. Autism treatments are on page 12, but you really should get EXPERTLY diagnosed, and receive the required treatments. |
