Help for Autism?

My 3 year-old son has just been diagnosed with autism and I have been doing some research on the internet. I came across two websites that talked about ways autism can be treated for improvement and possible reversal with the intervention of certain drugs. The first website (www.health-reports.com) talked about 'natural supplements' such as Rejuvine, DHLA Nano Plex, Zeolite Enhanced and PRP factor. The second website (www.evenbetternow.com) talked about Kids Clear Detoxifying Clay baths, and Kids Chelat Liquid Chelation Drops. Has anyone heard of this products before in relation to treating autism and have any positive or negative comments? Please I am really interested in answers relating to possible treatment for autism and not interested to hear that I should just accept it and that there is no treatment.

Autism is treatable and reversible.You can help your child. Boimedical is the way. The internet is full of crap but I have spent hundreds of hours researching and the sites I provide have helpd me tremendously. I can not stress enough to you that you can help your child recover from autism.

The underlying medical problems must be addressed if the child is to reach full potentials. The mainstream medical community simply does not understand this. The tests they usually do are not going to find anything and they have no answers or treatments. For instance, Our son tests negative for milk allergy but is clearly affected by ingesting it. While coming to terms with the fact our doctors don't know what the hell their talking about and can't help us we withheld and reintroduced milk 5 times. We thought kids needed milk(they don't). Within hours he clearly became more irritable,aggressive, violent. the severity of his temper tantrums doubled at least.
There are however hundreds of doctors and scientists that do understand the disorder and have effective testing and treatments. Many autistic kids are actually poisoned with heavy metals and live viruses. You can start at these sites for inf.

I advise people to implement biomedical treatment and nutritional support. The improvments in our son have been dramatic to say the least, Only a few of our sons therepists ever sam him before we introduced biomed treatment and they now request inf from me to give to other parents. The original therepist he saw told me she could not believe how rapidly he had changed and advanced and that she had never seen a child improve so much so fast. She has over 20 years experience. I hope you child responds as well as mine.

This doesn't really answer your question but autistic kids react greatly to colours and often assosiate them with emotions, , but be careful as the wrong colours can cause a lot of distress as much as ther right ones can cause comfort.
For example putting a yellow shirt on a child that has a fear of the colour yellow will cause the child a great deal of stress until that shirt has been replaced with a more 'friendly' colour.

Since my diagnosis (15 years ago) I've been put on many different medications (both chemical and natural) and I didn't like the effect of any of them. Therapy on the other hand can be very helpful (I understand your son is only 3, but I was started on therapy at the age of 5).

One thing I and my parents have learned during my life is that autism is not a disease or a problem that should be cured. It simply means that an autistic person's brain is "wired" differently.

I think your best option is to get your son involved with a charity that deals with autistic kids. They can provide different therapies to improve his skills and communication, talk you through any questions that you have about treatments, and give you things to try at home.You will also be able to meet people who have been through what you have, and give you pointers.

Of course you could always try the internet weirdo who sells his bone marrow as a "cure"!!!!!!!!!

My sister was diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome at around the same age ((this is linked strongly with autism))

She has never needed treatment, but went to a special school, that focused on treating children that suffered from certain difficulties.

This school helped her to achieve to her upmost best,a nd at 17 she now attends an agricutural college that teenagers from all over the UK apply for.

Although no treatment was prescribed, she has been 'awarded' special friends, who take her out once a week to wherever she wants to go....... cinema, shopping, Mcdonalds etc.

I know this is not the answer you are looking for, and I know from experience you have a long haul ahead of you.

I know, as I am at the start of that road now...... with my son going through certain assessments. They think it is either ADHD, or autism based as it is heredrity, and he has so many liknessess as my sister.

I am also autistic and at 21 I recommend you avoid any supplements not recommended by an M.D. I have had plenty of blood tests and my levels are the same as a neurotypical person. The sellers of these products try to take advantage of the fear and desperation many parents feel when they learn their child is autistic. However, ABA or applied behavioral analysis has been proven in clinical studies to be effective. I would recommend working with your child's pediatrician to find providers to help in the treatment of your child. Best of luck and don't feel hopeless. Autistics have plenty of potential, we are not destined for a life of misery!

Autism is a pervasive development disorder, that means your son will be autistic for life as there is no cure. Children with autism can however improve, this can involve diet changes, therapy and sometimes prescription drugs. Never buy anything off the internet that promises a miracle cure as it just won't happen. The best thing you can do for your son is to enjoy his company. I know from experience that people with autism are some of the best people to be around.

Hi, If your gut instinct is telling you to not "just accept it" then good on you for searching for more info. Just out of interest I was watching a show recently on autism and one mother mentioned that she put her 3yr old son who was recently diagnosed with autism on a dairy free and non processed foods diet, which apparently was a huge success and major improvement in the symptoms! You may want to give it a go, Id be weary of all these drugs, that's my gut instinct.

AJ has the answer.how can you fix something thats not broken.i know you dont want to hear it but there is no miricle cure.if you are going to look for a cure though,its your perogative.i wouldnt bother getting things off the internet though for obvious reasons.bear in mind though most medications for autistic children (ritalin,melatonin etc)have unpleasent side effects for the child,so try and go the natrual way

Hi, i have just ordered all the seven items suggested by the first website (DHLA...etc) . My son is nearly 2 year 6 months, he is due for an autism assessment in the next few days. I have been taking him for therapy interstate, the cost of each trip is more than the cost of these health supplements... i guess what i am saying is, i never want to look back and regret.... as long as i am not giving my son drugs that is unsafe. the plan is to consume those supplement for myself first before giving them to my son. Dont know if this sounds too radical. I have been working in the medical field for years and have heard the same old story that there is no cure for autism but this afternoon i was surprised when i did a search and found something that i could understand that could explain why my son was behaving this way. not sure if this helps.
