Autism and sleep? |
anyone have a child with autism Have you tried melatonin? It's a natural supplement that helps children get to sleep. I also give my son Epsom Salt baths before bedtime, they are very soothing and also help children with sleep issues. If this was my child I would contact a good board certified Child Neurologist and ask this question. The key word here is Board Certified. Any Doctor can say that they are a Neurologist or child Neurologist. The Truth is that there are very few of them. and it is even harder to find one that has a keen interest in Autism, I only really know of one and he is almost a 1000 miles from me but If I needed him I sure would try to call or arrange for a visit with him. He is at the University of Tennessee in Memphis and his name is Dr. Freedom F. Perkins Jr. |
