Autism or is it AdHd? |
My son has symptoms and signs of autism. Ive took him to his pediatrician and they say its confusing that its hard to ditinguihh between autism and adhd. He is a real smart kid for not going to a day care and not going to pre k, but whhat ive noticed is that he repeats aloooooooooooot so any help?? Should I take him to a neurologist? Hi: Take him to a neurologist, trust that, not anyone on here, including me...lol a qualified pediatrician should be able to distingush between autism or adhd! If they can not do it then they will refer you to the apropiate doctor ! This is a web site that tells you what docotrs to see, and has a ton of info for you. Good luck with your little one :) Your ped does has no clue to what they are talking about. ADHD is nothing like Autism. Autism is very severe and can hinder the child from communicating. GO see a neurologist and a child Psychiatrists. It could be neither. He's still VERY young and repetitive or sing-song talking isn't really all that uncommon. I DO suggest that if you suspect either one, DO go the neurologist route and not a psychiatrist, psychologist or pediatrician. Good luck. PED PSYHOLOGIST .MY DAUGHTER HAS AUTISM SHES DIAGNOSED AT 3 AND THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO Definitely take him to a specialist. The difference between autism and adhd is dramatic and I fear your doctor isn't the best to diagnose. Children with autism generally do not like tobe touched or held. Adhd has different symptoms.....please take your little guy to the right doctor! Good luck to you and your sweet little guy. you need to take him to a doctor who works with children and autism. my daughter was told she has autism but that was a wrong guess. so be very careful because you need the best help. i am a single father and had plains for her and now im not sure whats going on. Seems like a good ideal to me, or maybe a psychologist would be better. go to a specialist(like a neurologist)t,not to a pediatrician!and if your son have ADHD not cure him with medicine, like Ritalin!i have heard many interview where the children speack about this drugs.I'm frank,a lot of children that take this "medicine"are died or have tried to committe suicide.Ritalin sometimes is the case of tumors. |
