My daughter has autism part 3: My daughter is now 23.? |
When she was 3 we knew there was a problem but the doctors would not make a comment as to what it was.We had to take her to a eye doctor who specialized in children that could not communicate because her eyes were so crossed. After 2 minutes he ask us if anyone had told us she had cerebral paulsy? We said no and he said " I have seen enough kids like her that I will tell you she has it. The doctors are afraid to tell you because if they were wrong they could face a lawsuit." When we confronted her doctors they agreed about the cp. As time went by they also diagnosed her with developmental delay and autism. Immediately after they said she had cp we were able to start getting a lot of much needed help. Now for my question for today. Do you think they could possibly be diagnosing all these children with such a wide range of problems into the category of autism to keep from being sued? Also could this be the reason they will not put a exact definition on the term autism? I have dealt with the same exact thing with my daughter who has Rett Syndrome. Her first neuro would not say CP even though she had all the symptoms. She went for 2 years with only a "dev. delayed" diagnosis. Turned out she didn't have CP, but I really thought at the time the Dr. was covering for the OB who almost killed me an my daughter during the delivery. BTW, has your daughter ever been tested for Rett Syndrome? It is highly misdiagnosed as CP or autism and very interesting Drs thought both. try to go with a homeopathic dr he will help you out i have seen many cases where they have suceed. Yes and it looks like they are only protecting there asses |
