Autism and OCD?

My son is 6 and has autism. Recently he is becoming OBSESSED with things. Like for two days he has been stuck on scooby doo. for two hours last night he steadily said "Momma, I need to go to scooby doo, say ok" I would say ok or go to sleep son its dark out. He would repeat the exact thing when I tell him no not now its like someone has detroyed the world. Also his agression is increasing. My question is do parents see this getting worse the older and more verbal the child becomes? I know there is a thin line between the routine need for control and actual obsession part. I can tell the outburst from routine or differance and the ones from obsession.

He has ot, speech and aba therapy also. I asked our dr about getting a EEG and brain scan done he said theres no need since he doesnt have siezures.

It could be perseveration on Scooby Doo or that he's trying to tell you something but doesn't know how to word it. It could be something unrelated to what he's saying but that's the only way he knows to say it (if that makes sense.)

i believe he may have psychological issues and not just mental cognitive things. have u got him a psychotherapist? they may have techniques and special words even for kids who r differently-abled. i know for a fact that ur child has a wonderful future just like all other kids.
in fact, my own therapist says kids have special "play therapy" Look into and google that!

A trained psychologist or psychiatrist will give u much more professional answer. God bless and take care!
