Has anyone else got a disabled child?do u find it hard to cope?

my daughter had moderate learning disabilaties, autism.dyslexia, dyspraxia, and oppositional difiance disorder, she is 15yrs but mentaly 7yrs ....i struggle some days too cope!!i love her to bits though!

I don't myself but I have a lot of sympathy and admiration for people who do. It must be hard sometimes seeing something so precious to you struggle to cope with even simple things. I imagine it can get frustrating. However, I'm sure you have a beautiful, happy little girl which is more that a lot of people could wish for.

i have a son of 5yrs with a mentallity of a 2yr old....he has learning difficulties yes somtimes it gets very stressfull.love and patience thats the key,,,but it hard......i hope everything works out for you

My son has a 22q11 deletion. They call it DiGeorge Syndrome. We have had many health problems along with learning difficulties. He's not as serious as your daughter, but we have our share. So, I kinda know how you feel. It's difficult, but so very worth it when they smile.

just stay strong i work with people with learning disabilaties its very rewarding ,have you tried restbite

I don't, but I have every sympathy for you. I know a family who regularly have a disabled child stay for weekends, to give his parents some respite. He is adorable and lovable, but exhausting too. Are there any schemes like this in your area? You should ask for as much help as you can.
