Why are some mental illnesses looked over so easily? |
This was just out of curiousity because I have an autistic brother and I have noticed recently that no one really knows or cares about autism. Some mental illnesses are overlooked, or diagnosed late because it is hard sort out the various causes of inapropriate behaviour. go to autism.com I'm not sure what you mean; was he diagnosed by a doctor? People are afraid of the unknown and are afraid to find out. i think that some people my believe that its all in the persons head. that or their on a long mile of denial. Mental illnesses are not over looked. Its the responsibility of the parents to seek out help and get the right interventions for the child. There are many organizations for those with Autism and each and every day research is being done to find the cause so we can one day find a cure for it. Check out this link...http://www.autismspeaks.org/community/re... Hope this helps :) i agree people usually dont take interest in anything unless it affects them or someone close to them |
