I sometimes get tensed when watching TV, what should I do?

I have Asperberger's Syndrome, which is a form of Autism

I am taking medicene for treating my anxiety and depression

I get tensed when I watch certain shows like ER, or shows that just keep you hanging with their plots and complicated characters. I either turn the TV off, or turn it to comedy central. Comedy shows don't give me anxiety!

same deal man, roll with it, its most likely extreme emphathy for the characters

Get up and leave the room if the TV is making you anxious. Maybe lay on your bed for a while. If you feel like being active, you can take a walk. Maybe join an online support group for those with Asperberger's. Some say Albert Einstein had the same syndrome!

Then stop watching those shows.. find calming things that you know you can handle. .You know yourself better then anyone else,. so love yourself enough to change the channel or find something healthier to do. .I suffer from PTSD and there are alot of movies and shows I just cannot watch anymore.
