Atrial Fibrillation - How do you deal with the fatigue??

I've had atrial fib for 2 years and for those 2 years have been so exhausted all the time. I'm 34 & I no longer have a life as I'm too tired to do anything! Suggestions to combat fatigue please.

B-12 sublingual tablets (melt under your tongue) 500mgs.
CoEnzyme Q10 in oil based gel caps. 120mgs.
Both available over the counter, both help to increase your energy levels.

Have you been Cardioverted? If you haven't been and you have been in constant A-fib, of course you are tired.

This is a question for your family physician or Cardiologist.

What does your Doctor say? Do you have a pacemaker? Maybe Dr. can change settings. Do you take any other medications? My wife age 83 has rapid heart beat (arthymia?). She has had an implanted pacemaker/defib. for about 3 years. She complains of tiredness all the time but keeps going. We are retired so she gets lots of rest.

You should see an electrophysicist to treat your a fib. They can treat a fib with a radio frequency ablation.
At 34 yrs old, you are too young to just let it go on.
I hope you are taking an aspirin daily, and continue to take the medications prescribed by your physician. Most likely cardizem or a beta blocker.

I hate Atrial Fibrillation. I've suffered about 6 episodes of it, and I'm only in my 20's. My heart gets extremely chaotic and abnormal in rythmn. Takes about 18 hours for my heart to convert back to normal when I have an episode. I'm usually fatigued after a week when I have an episode.

If the atrial fibrillation cannot be converted to sinus rhythm by medication or electic shock, it should be slowed to a normal rate by digitalis products. Slow atrial fibrillation allows filling of heart and is not too debilitating.
