Is there a cure for Atrial Fibrillation and Left Bundle Branch Block?

Throughout most of my adult life, I have had "palpitations". I had EKGs and even wore a holter monitor about 14 years ago. Doctors just sort of ignored it. A few weeks ago, during a routine colonoscopy, the LBBB was discovered. I then had an EKG, ECHO and Stress test that indicated ischemia. Cardiologist recommended a cardiac cath which was done on Monday. But while in the hospital on monitor, I went into A-Fib. So, for the first time, the "palpitations" I have had several times a year were recorded and diagnosed as A-FIB. The cath was clear, no blockages in the arteries. I was sent home on Lopressor and baby aspirin. I do not have high cholesterol or high blood pressure. Now I am having multiple A Fibs a day and feel light headed. Can I stop taking the Lopressor? Is there another drug that will prevent it? Thanks for listening!!!

There are many available drugs for the control or prevention of a fib. Don't stop your current meds because your a fib may worsen and your symptoms increase. Work with your doctor until you settle on a drug that is right for you,

Change your doctor and ask for different medication than
what you were talking, and change your diet, also daily exercise will maybe balance your blood flow so that your
heart will eventually work as it should. After a certain age
things slow down so look into lots of exercise if you can.
It's the key to healing.

With heart (type) problems, you must not depend upon Y!A for your diagnosis and treatment, but see a really good Medical doctor, not a quack of some unknown kind. Best of luck. Happy trails.

There are a lot of drugs to treat A-Fib and there's always a pacemaker. There is no 'cure' so to speak. LBBB are usually not a problem, however they can be a sign that a part of your heart isn't getting enough 02, which you mentioned. Did they give you any reason why there's ischemia? Do they think the A-Fib is causing it?
I think you need to get a second opinion, or at least sit down and talk to your doctor.
