How do you get out of atrial fibrillation? |
How do you get out of atrial fibrillation? You must first treat the cause. I think your question is;how to stop the AF and back to normal sinus rhythm. If you have AF less then 48 hours you can apply DC cardioversion to to stop the AF(sure done by physician)or use medicines(amiodarone, ibutilide). if your AF has been there for more then 48 hours then should not conver back immediately because the blood colt already formed will danger to shot to other place.you should use delay DC conversion.Use therapeutic anticoagulation medicines for at less 3 weeks then use DC conversion after that use 4 more weeks anticoagulation. If condition urgency use heparin iv and use ecocardiogram to find out have blood clot(thrombi)if no then can use DC. |
