Does anyone know someone who had a cardioversion for atrial fibrillation? How did it go and was it successful? i know of someone who had it and it worked. it depends on how fast they can cardiovert you before any damage occurs. sometimes people live with this for years Yes and it worked. It went exactly as planned. All is well on a longer term afterward. (The duration of this project was too short to get some people over and define the scope of the project and to get some project planners in place to manage the project from start to finish!) I have done it frequently. Usually it converts immediately, but may recur later. I perform several per week. Most patients (99.5%) do just fine with the procedure and a majority are converted to sinus rhythm. The worst part is the insertion of the intravenous line. Good luck. Sure, not easy as a pie, requires lot of patience on part of doctor and his team. Strict monitoring is required as it can revert. |
