Men's Health/fertility question??? Serious answers only please!?

My husband and I are trying to get pregnant and are having NO luck! I think that there may be a problem with his sperm. His ejaculation is very clear and not very thick. What does this mean and how do we find out if his sperm is healthy?

FYI: He is 24 years old, 6'1" 177lbs, he has been on medication since Sept 07, to treat atrial fibrillation, but his sperm has been like that since before the medication. Also (this maybe TMI but...) his sperm doesnt have a taste to it AT ALL!

he does NOT smoke, NO drugs, and only drinks on occassion, maybe once a month

see that semen contains fluid from epididymis, vesica seminalis and prostate. Based on what i know, what makes sperm thick is fluid from vesica seminalis,which contains substances which has base properties, it is used both to make sperm looks coagulated and to tolerate vaginal acidity(sperm cant survive in acid environment). After coitus, usually there are some semen that leaks out of the vagina, in fact only the prostate fluid and the vesica seminalis's fluid that goes out, the sperm stays in there in cervix.

Ask your husband to do a semen analysis, there it could be determined whether there is something wrong or not.

and try to also do an introspection on yourself whether you have any problem with your fertility, and try to have sex regularly.

i think the drug he takes is the caused of it..
well, some of the drug does reduces the sperm quantity...
just go to fertility clinic to be sure...

all i can say is that he should see a doctor. There are several test to be done to identify the problem...and if it has no taste, the IS a prob...definitely. Your husband may want to consider these following this steps as well
1) a healthy diet and take a multivitamin. Men with low sperm counts often have deficiencies in zinc, manganese, selenium, and vitamins A, C, and E
2)avoid being stressful all the time. Stressful living affects sperm quality
3) Stop smoking. sperm confuses nicotine with a natural chemical and overdoses on it.
4) If he's wearing pants which are too tight, this might affect the sperm growth as well. try wearing loose clothing and underwear.
A few new products, such as Fertile One, Proxeed, and Fertility Blend, promise help, but there's no scientific proof behind them but there is no harm in trying.They won't hurt you, and may improve quality but not quantity.

You really need to have him get checked out the thickness and clearity of his stuff doesnt mean he is sterle or not they need to get his stuff under a microscope and look to see if he has a low count or they just dont swim very well or it may be okay and could be you .

Please do not take my opinion as medical advice, but as far as I know, clear ejaculate usually means there are no sperm in the semen. But, as I have said, only a doctor can give you a REAL diagnosis.
