Do anti thyroid meds work well in treating graves disease? |
I opted for the meds first, had developed atrial fibrillation, extra beats, hair loss, weight loss, tremors, swollen eyes, sleep loss, muscle loss and the list goes on... Has anyone experienced good results with just antithyriod meds and beta blockers? Sharing any past experiences would be grately appreciated..thx I've been taking neomercazole/carbimazole for 2 years now. It definitely works. I didn't have the same symptoms you are experiencing but my blood levels are within normal range (of course I have other things I'm not all that happy about - am probably too hypo now - but they work). There has been a lot of success through nutritional therapies. Go to a web browser and type in Graves Disease and nutrition. You should be able to find some direction. If you don't, e-mail me at r4yd@comcast.net . I will see what I can find for you. |
