What does athlete foot look like? |
i don't know if i've got athletes foot i thought it was itchy but my feet aren't that itchy. Athlete's foot causes scaling, flaking and itching of the affected skin. Blisters and cracked skin may also occur, leading to exposed raw tissue, pain, swelling and inflammation. The infection can be spread to other areas of the body, such as the armpits, knees, elbows, and the groin, and usually is called by a different name once it spreads (such as tinea cruris or jock itch for an infection of the skin and groin) one symptom is skin cracking between your toes and very itcky with it and the smell will quite pungent. your feet will come up in red dots but the dots will not be in the same place usually it is only on the soul of you foot but be careful because it can spread. I think you would know by the smell! It is VERY smelly. I can't help much just to say that you get broken skin between the toes. MYCIL foot powder and spray definitely helps. Your feet feel wet all the time, and it looks like little white blobs on your skin especially inside your toes. If you aren't sure put talcum powder in your sock/shoes for a week or so, if it's still there, see your doctor or go to the chemist for some proper powder/cream There is scaling and flaking of the skin. It is generally most marked between the toes. There may even be a split moist area at the bottom of the web. This is a typical picture : Redness and cracked skin which is very sore. You can treat it with Canestan cream which kills the fungus, then keep your toes dry with plenty of talc in your sock/shoes. The skin hardens, you get a lot of itching and can become discoloured.... |
