Does Joke itch and athlete foot itch has same meaning and symptoms and treatment?

Does Joke itch and athlete foot itch has same meaning and symptoms and treatment?I am having annoying itch on my genital areas, specially on my testicles and inner thighs and even in back downthere. My friend says I am having joke itch.I am not sure about it.He suggests me to use anti fungal cream.I do have anti fungal cream but it says it's for athletes foot.Any suggestions?

first off see a doctor. second of all jock itch, ringworm and athletes foot are all caused by the same tinea fungus and yes the meds are the same you have to read the directions for the specific area being treated. Since you have never had this symptom before you should let the doctor diagnose you because it may be something else including an std.

jock itch is the same thing as the female yeast infection..yes you can use over the counter for this..where as alhletes foot is along the same lines the medice for your feet is much stronger then the medicine for the jock itch..you can go to any pharmacy and talk to the pharmisist and he will tell you what product is best to treat both.....if they dont clear up see your doc.

Use a powder form of medication something like Gold Bond medicated body powder. It is good for both jock itch and athlete's foot. Putting cream on the area of the genitals may make things a bit messier for your briefs. I'd go commando for a while, and with the powder, if you got jock itch; airs it out.

Jock itch, athlete's feet, ring worm-- are all the same thing, just named differently for different parts of the body. They are all caused by a fungus over growth.

Your skin ALWAYS has a certain amount of bacteria and a certain amout of fungus/yeast on it. It is meant to be there, and does serve a purpose. For some reason ( and there are many ) the fungus over grew and now you have an infection.

Any over the counter yeast/fungal medication will work. Any medicine that ends in -azole is made for fungal/yeast infections. Vaginal yeast medicine is probably the cheapest and is safe to use on any part of the body.

The only time these type of medicines work is when the cells are reproducing. Therefore, you have to use the regularly for 4-6 weeks, even if symptoms have improved.

Powders are bad !! try to avoid using any powdered medicine. When the powder gets moist, it cakes and will feel like sandpaper against the skin. We NEVER use any powders !!

If symtoms persist, see a dermatologist to talk about pills that are available to treat stubborn infections.
