Persistent athlete's foot? |
i have athlete's foot ongoing for several months. my skin continues to flake and scale. You could try Lamisil one treatment. It is expensive about eight or nine pound but it works great. You just apply it once everywhere on the feet and bingo the athletes foot goes. You must remember to keep your feet as dry as possible and change your socks often. You can also use some athletes foot powder in your socks before putting your shoes on. It's a good idea to let your feet air as much as possible because the fungus likes moist damp atmospheres. I would try to stay away from wearing trainers for a while and get footwear that allows your feet to air. I am not suggesting you only have one pair of shoes, but it is a good idea to rotate your shoes often. Cleanliness, and proper drying and powdering will help. But I do recommend the Lamisil Once it really does work. I had the athletes foot months ago and used it, never had a problem since. Good luck.. If it is that persistant, then it IS time to see your doctor. Untreated Athletes Foot can cause other problems that you dont want, it can also make it harder to treat. The strongest stuff you can get for this over the counter is Lamisil cream. Any type of tinea, the fungus that causes athlete's foot and ringworm, is a battle to get rid of. Often time you'll kill the fungus but the spores might imbed in the fabric of your shoes, socks, or clothes just waiting to re-infect you. The spores are hearty and can infect you long after you think you've rid yourself of the problem. |
