I have had athlete foot for some time and I am worried that it may have spread. What are the chances of that?

It spreads VERY easily. Got o your pharmacist and get a spray to treat it. There are loads available and the generic brands work just as well as name brands. Remember to dry your feet with hair dryer rather than drag the skin with a towel, then spray the dry skin, your socks and into the toe of any shoes you are going to wear. It can live in any of those places. If you are using a towel, then you spread the fungal infection to the next parts of your body that you dry, so always do your feet last. If you're going somewhere where people walk around barefoot (say pool or gym showers) wear rubber flip flops so you contain it.
Hope is useful and it goes away quickly!

u should count urself lucky...which athletes foot have u got...

when i was young...i wish i had linford christies foot....

Don't about the chances of spreading, but I had athletes foot for years and tried many creams, even ones prescribed by the Doctor. This may seem disgusting-I THOUGHT SO WHEN I WAS TOLD-but bathe them in a bowl of your own pee daily for a week and it soon disappears! HONEST!

When you mean spread where d you think it has spread to?? You can spread it to the armpits, knees elbows and groin (known as jocks itch) so there is quite a high chance of it, best get to your doctors as soon as

If you don't deal with it, it will spread.

When you treat it, spray the insides of all your shoes, boots trainers, slippers etc with a proprietary spray. Make sure you change your socks and towels you use to dry your feet every day..... this should just about do it.

The chances are very high. Untreated atheletes foot turns into fungal nail disease, as i know cos i've got it! Get rid of it if you can cos you can't get rid of fungal nails easily at all.

You could end up in hospital with cellulitis and have to have antibiotics IV, if not treated can turn into something life threatening,Whole host of possibilities.GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR NOW.

highly likely..clean your feet then you need to spray your feet with mycel spray (it feels soooo nice when your feet are itchy!), then put some mycel powder in your socks and keep doing that until it goes away. Athletes foot is hugely contagious so keep your feet covered indoors so not to infect anyone else, And make sure you dry in between your tootsies!

My son was being treated for this for months and months on the diagnosis of a doctor.Nothing worked,he could hardly walk in the end. On the advice of a friend I ended up seeing a skin specialist who after taking tests and swabs, found that in fact it was excma. He was treated for this,it all cleared up within literally days, unbelievable.I think because it's on the feet, the assumption is athletes foot!!!!!!!
