What are some suggestions of getting rid of a severe case of athlete's foot? |
My boyfriend has had athlete's foot for a few months now and we have tried all kinds of powders, etc.; how can he get rid of this nerve-wracking fungus? Soak your feet in apple cider vinegar and water. Treat them with tea tree oil. Make sure you add a cup of white vinegar to your wash when you wash your socks. he may have to see the foot dr as they can prescibe medicine that is stronger then whats over the counter, or it could be something else and thats why the creams aren't working, but he needs to have it checked out. If you go to your doctor you can get an oral medication, but the success rate is not great, it has the potential to cause liver damage, and it takes up to six weeks to work. I have heard that soaking your feet in a solution of bleach and water can help , but i was watching Oprah a month or so ago and Doctor OZ was on answering ??'s and he swears that soaking your feet in tea is the cure? Go to his web site and read about it. good luck. It sounds kinda gross/crazy but you can use a woman's yeast infection cream like monistat or even a store brand and rub on it at night (or whenever going to bed) make sure the feet are washed first and then make sure that you wash your hands very well too because it can be spread. Good Luck. first, soak his feet in cheap vodka or everclear. Let them air dry. then add turmeric, ginger and cloves (all powders that you can get from an indian store). You can keep this mixture for several days, and it will turn your feet yellow. This helps you know that you got the medicine everywhere! soak his feet in empson salts and dry off - add a fungal spray, cream and cover with socks - use flip flops all around the house - or in the shower/pool area - |
