Help! I think I have athlete's foot on my hand?

I have small red bumps on the top of my hand and on the palm is cracked and it hurts and itches alot! I've put foot cream on it for the last 4 days but it's not helping any ideas how to get rid of it or what it is- I don't have the money to go to the doctor

I looked at the web site someone listed about lichen and that's not what the rash I have looks like. It looks just like athlete's foot red cracked skin- anything over the counter I can use that will work?

Try the skin rash page at the source below to help you diagnose that skin problem.

more likely lichen planus

oo that doesn't sound good ..... you have do do something....yep i think its lichen but you really need some professional help

Clear Caladryl or Neosporin. Neosporin has antibiotics in it. Try that one first. Disinfect everything in the house you touch, including door knobs. Wear garden gloves, latex, rubberized.

if you think it is tinea (fungal infection) - then use an antifungal medication (over the counter) -- it is going to take more than 4 days - you will need to use the cream twice a day on the rash and around it until it is completely gone.

However, it does not sound like tinea - which on the skin is called ringworm - a round rash with a clear center.

It is incredibly difficult to diagnose a skin condition without being able to see it. You really have to go to the doctor to have it seen. There are so many options it could be - anything from an allergic reaction (dermatitis) to eczema to a bacterial infection.

Re. your dry or cracked feet or your athlete鈥檚 foot, check this site out: http://waterproofsock.com/
Waterproof Sock is the ONLY unit that would fit snugly around your feet and ankle. It will protect your skin from the harsh chemical of pool's water, like Chlorine and Bromine, Waterproof sock, protects your feet from Verrucae, athlete鈥檚 foot and other foot infections commonly found in the indoor swimming environment. Simply, slip it on your feet prior to entering a swimming Pool or Jacuzzi, This would help the skin and feet retain its original moist, so your skin won鈥檛 dry or crack.
