What do you all think about urine therapy? Anyone tried it? |
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urine_thera... N.B. for athlete's foot the application was strictly EXTERNAL. urinating on your feet while in the shower does help athlets feet. Also yrs ago my uncle used to have real bad acne until he washed his face in his FIRST AM urine his daughter tried it and it worked Never drink urine good luck let me know if it works!!! Report It It is sick. MD I did think they were taking the piss when this was on tv, and I really still don't believe it - except as a symbolic, psychological sort of thing. Urine seems like something the body is trying to get rid of, so I'd be surprised if putting it back in did any good. If urine therapy had any merits, then you would expect people with gout and uremia from kidney failure to be healthier than people without these problems because these conditions would be similar to drinking urine. Gout causes deposition of uric acid crystals in the joints (very painful). People with kidney failure die - so does drinking urine sound like a good idea to you? Drinking urine causes temporary uremia that is virtually indistinguishable from acute kidney failure. Seems like a stupid way to treat athlete's foot, when you can use foot powder instead. urine therapy is just another ploy by someone who has not much experience with the human anatomy and diseases that affect such. |
