Swollen, itchy big toe?

A couple of days ago my left big toe randomly started to itch really bad and after I looked at it, it's really swollen around the toenail and at the tip of the toe. I've been waking up in the middle of the night because of how itchy it's gotten. I've tried athlete's foot spray and anti-itch cream and nothing's making the itch subside. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a Toe nail Fungus You can soak your feet in a Vinegar solution or pure. I had a Toe nail Fungus I tried a lot of
things, I Finely got the courage to try 1 cup of Clorox in a Foot Spa my Toe nail are not brown anymore and not Itching.
You can check the Internet Doctor Fungus!
search Clorox cures. My feet are very clean and do not Smell.

it could be any number of things, including, insect bite, gout, staph infection...suggest if it severe enough to wake you at night, then it is time to have a doctor look at it.

Take an antihistimine sounds like a flea, fly or even a spider bite.

you might be suffering with Chilblains, i get it on my toes randomly with a change in temp from cold to warm, it makes my toes start itching like mad an they are red and shiney, it keeps me awake at night! try Aqueous cream, its a natural light cream and will calm down the redness and itching, i havnt been to the docs with it yet so i have no difinate answer to your question, i just thort to sey your not alone and how i deal with it myself!! good luck xx
