Does anyone know the difference between a virus and a fungus?

I know athlete's foot is caused by a fungus and warts by a virus but I don't know what the difference is. Please be simple with your answers, I'm not a college grad. LOL

A fungus is like a mushroom, a mold on bread or mold around the shower......or yeast in bread. It's alive

A virus is an agent that acts upon a cell and changes it......it's not really alive on its own.

fungus is like mold. Grows with moisture and is from the outside of your skin living on you.

viruses live in your blood and get you from the inside out.

A fungus is a more complicated organism. It is an entire cell, with a nucleus, cytoplasm, a cell membrane and a cell wall. Fungus can multiply by itself given the right temperature and the right nutrients. Not all funguses are bad- mushroom and truffles are a fungus.
A virus is a much smaller particle, consisting simply of a piece of DNA or RNA and a protein coat. It cannot grow or multiply by itself, but rather, it infects a cell and subverts the mechanism of the cell to fill its own requirements.
