Slow heart rate and I'm lazy & obese ?

I have always had a very slow heart rate. I took it today while visiting someone in the hospital and my heart rate was 55 bpm to 63 bpm. It raised to 75 bpm when I stood up and took it.

My doctor says that a slow heart rate is a sign of an athletes heart rate. Thats good and all, but I am far from an athlete. I am actually obese at 215 pounds, 5 foot 7 and a 25 y/o female. So since I am a fatty and not some healthy running athlete does this mean something might be wrong with my heart making it beat too slow? I plan on getting back to the gym sometime this week (I lost 13 pounds last month, but quit the gym due to a family emergency) I am afraid that if I start back exercising my heart rate will go even lower then the 50's that is it now!

Also, if you have an already slower heart rate like in the mid 50's 60's, what does it drop when you are asleep? Do you think it could be like in the 20's or 30's when you sleep since when you lay still and dont move it gets slower? Shld I wory

dont worry abotu it, just do a lot of moderate excersizing like walking or slow joging to lose the weight, but you'll be COMPLETELY fine. dont worry

My heart rate is like 200. =O
