Did YOU know human atherosclerosis is NOT the "mud inside of a pipe" scenerio the MEDIA portrays.

It develops BETWEEN the INNER and OUTTER Layers of the arterial wall, is started by injury or inflammation and contains MAINLY very very hard fibrous scar tissue and smooth muscle cells(90%) , calcium deopists, while blood cells , blood platelets, collagen and SMALL amounts of cholesterol and SMALL AMOUNTS of various fats MOST FATS PERCENTAGE WISE BEING UNsaturated - MOSTLY POLYUNsaturated

Okay- thickening of the arteries is due to injury to the wall often from high blood pressure which leads to inflammation. Its the same way your body reacts to any injury, with inflammation. The first thing you will see is a fatty streak which is soft and does not cause any narrowing. You can see fatty streaks in people as young as adolescence. Then the same thing that happens outside the body happens in the vessel which basically caused a scab within the vessel. Throughout time cholesterol does attach along with calcium deposits causing the hard calcified blockaged that lead to perepheral vascular disease.

The more cholesterol a person has the faster and bigger these blockages are. LDL Cholesterol does have an important factor in vascular disease. I dont know why everybody is trying to down play it.

thanks for shareing

you need facts to back up your claim NOt just words CAPitalized

yea I am. I read it in a couple of books about hypertension and heart disease. amazing.

it can make the blood vessel stiff raising blood pressure. which causes furthur damage. causing bp to go even higher as plaque finally reaches to the inner pipe. I got those books out since I have a life long problem with weight and bp. I only decided to treat the bp the last 2 years. so I can imagine that the damage is probably irreversible. It can also cause insulin resistance and other problems.

I take meds, am following the dash diet too. but the meds sure make it difficult to exercise. I read that calcium channel blockers usually don't interfere with exercise. but I do have mild asthma especially exercise induced asthma. the inhabler probably can't work as well with the ccbs. so that may have something to do with it. I had a feeling the polyunsaturateds may not be as healthy as they claim. I think the problem maybe enviromentalists who are desperatly trying to get people to stop eating meat, not because it is unhealthy, but they consider it immoral. but they tell us it is for health reasons, otherwise people would tell them to go take a flying leap.

a friend of mine has been eating cocunut oil and he said he lost weight built up muscles and has shiny hair and strong nails and his skin became more softer. that is what I need I have dry skin all the time.

RRRRR

Not only that! They blame it on LDL cholesterol which is really needed to help build new cells at the damaged site. So now the whole world is trying to lower their cholesterol levels. Are they in line for something more sinister?

Did you know that Razwell refuses to read the community guidelines? A question is posed by one seeking answers, not a statement of opinion.
