What is temporal atherosclerosis and how is it cured?

So, I think you're talking about the temporal artery - if so, it runs along your temple, by your eye. Atherosclerosis is a condition that occurs within the walls of blood vessels. Simply put, if you have atherosclerosis it means that you have a "build up" of cholesterol, calcium, etc. within your blood vessels, which interferes with blood flow through that vessel. There is no cure. However, you can take medications to reduce the likelihood of developing complications of such a condition (complications include high blood pressure, heart attacks, stroke, vision loss). Control blood pressure, reduce the fat in your diet, control you cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Some doctors recommend taking a baby aspirin a day.

Its the hardening of the artery or vien in the head. This could lead to stroke etc.

This is a narrowing of the arteries to the temporal lobe, there is no cure a s such, but a dealing treatment can be handled by surgery(removal of narrowed arteries) and much palliative care

Methinks you are speaking of temporal arteritis.
