Two Questions About Saturated Fat And LDL? |
If LDL causes atherosclerosis , why do autopsy and angiography/EBT studies show no connection between total or LDL cholesterol levels and extent of atherosclerosis? You need to cite the original source, not Colpo. Bravo! And check out the latest why lowering cholesterol is dangerous! Ok...bad cholesterol is created when we eat too much saturated fat and trans fats in our foods. This causes plaque build up in the arteries and the arteries close, blood flow diminishes and some times is blocked entirely, causing strokes, heart attacks, etc. Too much fat in the body causes diabetes, and high blood pressure. When you change your diet from a high fat diet to a diet rich in dark leafy greens, other fresh veggies, moderate fruit intake and plenty of lean, mostly white meats and fish, grilled foods, not fried...then you will see and feel better. Your LDL will drop like a rock in water and you will lose weight. More importantly you will live longer, if that interests you at all. Sources? Maybe you should start an 'I love LDL' club. Your song could be giime that ol time fat--all I know from original sources is that when I had high LDL and low HDL, I had a massive heart attack (blocked LAD)and now 8 years later after angioplasty, stents along with low saturated diet, statins and regular exercise, I have ridden 300 mile(in 10 days) bicycle trips in the alps , and in the Netherlands and hike and bike regularly. No plavix. If not from fat from whence comes the clogged arteries? The excercise, procedures and statins helped you NOT a "low saturated fat diet" A freaking MEN Also, this website is probably the very BEST for this sort of thing! |
