Hi, ime on a drugs trial for cholesterol should i stop taking tak 475?

i had symptoms went to doctor he put it down to depression he signed me up for blind tak 475 trial, whilst on trial i have been diagnosed with hypothyroid autoimmune - atherosclerosis very serious needing surgery - arthritus mild and a possible nuerological disorder still undergoing tests. my cardiovascular surgeon says its ok to stay on trial my doctor also says its ok but my new neurologist has told me that i shouldent be on the trial what should i do

I think I would be inclined to take the neurologists advice, but do not come off the trial tabs unsupervised!;

Why would you want to be used as a guinea pig? It all sounds a bit random to me. You were diagnosed as having depression and ended up on a trial for cholesterol even though you were also suffering a whole range of other conditions. I would be wanting to know how much the drug company is paying or what other benefits the doctor gets for supplying candidates for drugs trials. If it were me I would be off the trial immediately. There are loads of ways of reducing cholesterol without taking potentially harmful drugs. Invest in Patrick Holfords Optimum Nutrition Bible - its the only reference book you needs really.

NO take jane b's advice she is spot on everything she says is correct and also you can sign up for email to Patrick Holford thumbs up for jane b
