People Haven't You Ever Wondered Why Veins And Tiny Cappilaries Do NOT "Clog" Up With Cholesterol

If the Lipid Hypothesis were true and atherosclerosis was just a simple clogging with cholesterol which it is ABSOLUTELY NOT, your veins and tiny cappilaries would clog up uniformly

Athersclerosis is VERY HARD FIBROUS SCAR TISSUE and only happens in arteries particularly the large arteries and in descreet patches NOT uniformly.

Did you know that this is an invalid question by YA guidelines?

Very good question. I have been questioning the idea that cholesterol is the culprit for years because there is just no evidence. You point out that there is just no logic, either.

For you others, why can't anyone point to a study that links Cholesterol to heart disease? They do not exist. Except those which are obviously put forth by pharmaceutical companies because the tests are skewed to get the desired result. The fact is that these tests point among overweight people with high cholesteral than there is with overweight people with low cholesteral. There are studies like this all over the place which compare apples to apples.

It is more likely linked to the overall diet than to cholesteral, but the pharmaceutical companies have us all paranoid because statin drugs are HUGE CASH COWS FOR THEM!

KATHY YOU ARE INcorrect THE AMOUNT OF CHOLESTEROL IN THE BLOODSTREAM,IS CONSTANT AND IS JUST AS GREAT IN THE VEINS AND CAPILLARIES.

BLOOD PRESSURE FORCE IS FAR GREATER IN THE ARTERIES THAN THE VEINS OR CAPILLARIES.

THE SHEER BLOOD PRESSURE FORCE IS GREATEST IN THE CORONARY ATERIES.

THIS is the REASON atherosclerosis ONLY develops in ARTERIES and NOT the veins

Veins PUT near the coronary ateries in a coronary re-vascularization operation NOW BEING EXPOSED TO ARTERIAL LEVEL BLOOD PRESSURE . THEY SOON CAN BECOME SCLEROTIC

I found the answer to your question. I is in "A Definition of Initial, Fatty Streak, and Intermediate Lesions of Atherosclerosis"

It won't fit here, but here is the website and a discription: http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.j...

"In this report we characterize lesions that precede and may initiate the development of advanced atherosclerotic lesions. Advanced lesions are defined as those in which an accumulation of lipid in the intima is associated with intimal disorganization and thickening, deformity of the arterial wall, and often with complications such as fissure, hematoma, and thrombosis. Advanced lesions may produce symptoms, but the lesions that precede them are clinically silent."
