When people have astigmatism, how old are they usually when they first notice blurred vision? |
I was reading on the internet that astigmatism is usually present when someone is born. I'm almost 26 and just found out that I have astigmatism, but I had pretty much perfect vision until it started getting blurry a few months ago. If I've had it since I was born, why didn't I experience symptoms until now? I'm just wondering if anyone else who has astigmatism didn't have any problems with it until they were in their 20s or older. I realized I had vision problems in my 20's as well. I did not know that i had astigmatism until I got tested for contact lens...late 20's. I asked for answers from people who HAVE had vision problems from astigmatism that didn't show up until the person was in their 20s or older, and this person gave me the type of answer I was looking for. Report It my son is 33 and still has no problems. He refuses to wear his glasses. As you age your sight does also. Every one is an individual. |
