Should I get sunglasses for astigmatism?

I have astigmatism, and the doctor tried to fit me for astigmatism lenses, but none of them fit properly, so now I'm just wearing regular Acuvue contacts. I can still see, but it's not as clear as it should be, but oh well, I'll live. Now, I', getting new sunglasses (that I'll wear on top of my contacts). Is it possible to get non-prescription sunglasses for astigmatism?

OK why don't you try another doctor to fit you for astigmatic correction , may be who knows
if not get the regular sunglasses without the prescription

I am pretty sure that it's not possible, but if it is your doctor would be able to tell youl.

No. Though astigmatism is only a particular version of short or long sight, it's very individual.

If you are going to be using sunglasses over contacts you have two options...
Non-prescription ones. Cheaper, lots of choice, but leaving your eyesight as it usually is.
Prescription ones with the missing astigmatic component built in. Obviously more expensive, and you may develop a preference for the better more comfortable vision they deliver.

It's rare nowadays not to be able to achieve an astigmatic correction with contacts, but custom made lenses can get very expensive, and the disposable astigmatic ones don't cover anything like all prescriptions.

Hi i have high myopia and astigmatism as well. I know is difficult to find the right contacts for that, but try differents brands, you'll find one that suit on you ,off course !!. Or change your dr.,he can make you use contacts and over glasses in 2007!!!.
Good luck!!
