Will astigmatism disappear?

If I SOMETIMES wear my prescription eye glasses, will my astigmatism eventually go away?

i was told if you wear contacts for astigmatism, they will correct the astigmatism-make it better, but you have to wear them often, and for like a couple of years- they get better, but you still will have a little bit of astigmatism no matter what

I believe that whether you wear the glasses or not the astigmatism will not go anywhere. It is the way something in your eyeball is shaped and the only way to fix it is surgery.

no. wearing glasses does not influence your eye in any way.

it makes your VISION better when you have them on, but it will not "get rid" of your astigmatism.

so, no.

If you have a low astigmatism... a cylinder power that reads -.50 to -1.00 with an axis close to 90 or 180....it is not unusual for the astigmatism to come and go. However, it has nothing to do with wearing your glasses or not. A higher astigmatism is likely here to stay and wearing your glasses will make you more comfortable, but will not improve your astigmatism. You will need to wear the glasses to see better.

No, but you can have it fixed with corrective laser surgery.

Well sorry to tell you but it will not I heave it on my let eye and my eye Dr. was trying to correct it but he told me that there was no way in fixing it .

No it wont go away.
