I have astigmatism but just got non-asitgmatic contacts from my optician, is this normal? |
I'm only on my second day but I'm still having trouble focusing on writing. Also, since my glasses correct astigmatism and my contacts don't it's really noticable when I change between them (world warping etc). Has my optician gone nuts, or is it likely that my contact prescription is different and I just have to get used to them? Only your optometrist (an eye doctor) can tell. this usually happens when my glasses are upgraded. you'll probably get used to it in a few days. but if the problem persist and you start getting headaches, you should visit another optician to get a 2nd opinion. i dont really think its ok for u to wear those contacts. ur having problems bec they arent correcting your eye defect..with ur eye defect, u need cylindrical lenses for better eye vision. i dont really think the non-astigmatism contacts should be given to you.. but try to listen to what ur doctor tells u... Contact your optician right away. Get an explanation. and new contacts if he/she screwed up. |

yes there is but they are expensive ...I have had an astigmatism since I was 19 and not before. They say you already were pre-disposed to it but with the eye strain over the years it tends to surface with most people in early adulthood... |
