A question about astigmatism.? |
i have astigmatism and it is pretty bad. with my right eye I see "shawdows". I put quotations because I'm not sure what they are really called. As I move my eye the shadow moves with my eye. Its kind of weird. I was wondering if anyone knew what that was called? It's hard to say based on what you described. astigmatism can create ghost images or like a fainter double image. The other possibility is what's called a floater. this can be described many diffferent ways, but shadow is one of them. it usually moves with your line of sight. this is found in the back of your eye. in rare cases, it can be a signal to a retinal problem--most of the time, it's a sign you need glasses or a new prescription. best thing to do is see an optometrist. it's not astigmatism who ever diagnosed. go to an specialist and have him dilate your pupils to check the back of your eye. |
