I just got a new prescription and switched from glasses to contacts? |
How long should it take me to adjust to the new prescription and do you have any tips for me on wearing contacts? I have an astigmatism so my contacts are the ones with the directional marks on them. Not sure if I was clear, the contacts are comfortable, it's the prescription I'm worried about. I feel like everything is a little blurry Is this the first trial pair of toric contact lenses that your eye dr has given you? If so, it can take a few tries before you get the prescription and fit just right. If they feel good then, you've won half the battle. Sometimes, it can take up to a week to adjust to a new prescription...usually after a few days you can tell if the new prescription is gonna work. Your eye doctor should have scheduled a visit for about a week after he/she first gave you the trial lenses. Contacts to correct an astigmatism (toric) aren't always a perfect fit the first time. Be patient, it will work out! i sure do love contacts!!! Oh it will probably take about a week or two to get fully used to having them in. Just make sure to keep them clean. |
