Is these any way to prevent the contact lenses from ripping easily? |
My contact lenses are Bauch and Lomb because I have astigmatism. They are suppose to last up to 2 weeks, but they rip like after 4 days, starting from like the middle. Am I doing something wrong? or do contacts just rip very ezily...? It could be a handling issue...but I would advise you go back to your ophthalmologist/optician and get a contact lens check done. Sometimes lens deterioration can be caused by inadequate tear quality (an imbalance of the level of water, oil, and mucus, which form your tear lining) If you have an imbalance in your tear quality the lens could be drying out quicker on your eye during wearing hours. This could lead to the lens deterioration. no as your eye doctor..or who ever prescribed you those contacts...maybe its the way you handle them or the brand of the contacts.. i have astigmatism on my left eye....but yet i still have the same contacts from 3 months ago... It could be a defective box. Or if it happens all the time maybe you aren't keeping them in enough solution? Or not handling them with enough solution on them. I've had that happen before, but my contacts usually don't start to tear until I've warn them at least a week and they are supposed to last two. |

I think what you are referring to is "lazy eye" or amblyopia. If the condition was not diagnosed and treated while you were a young child, there really is nothing that can be done to res... the other guy doesnt know what he is talking about- people with astigmatism can get contacts. You will need to get toric lenses specially made for astigmatism your optician will reccomend the right... you NEED to see a doctor. Sounds like it could be a serious eye problem. ...Acuvue 2 is my fav or a night and day monthly lense called Focus Night&Day. In my experience oasys and hydroclear actually made my lenses foggier than normal. I have the same problem that you... Astigmatism, in your case means you are more short sighted in one direction than another. The amount on astigmatism is the "cyl" part of your prescription ie -1.25 dioptres of astigmatism... 30/20 vision means that you can read a letter at 30 feet that a person with "normal" vision would have to come up to 20 feet to read. Therefore your vision is better than a "normal&... It is a little unusual to see someone with stable vision until about 18 or 19 and then have a significant shift into near sightedness. This does not necessaryily mean you have keratoconus but it i... You can try the drops, but if it doesn't clear up in 24 hours, call your eye doctor. Are these your very first contact lenses?
